Takanori Ikeda, MD, PhD is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Toho University Faculty of Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Center at Toho University Medical Center in Tokyo, Japan. He is a past president of the ISHNE, Governor of the ISCP, Trustee of the JCS, Trustee of the JHRS, Vice President of the J-ISCP, and Trustee of the CVSS. He is also a fellow (FACC, FESC, FJCS, and so on) of several scientific societies. Professor Ikeda has published numerous peer-reviewed articles including in Lancet, Circulation, J Am Coll Cardiol, and Heart Rhythm. He has edited many textbooks related to cardiovascular diseases and also serves on the editorial boards of several academic journals. He has received multiple awards in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. He has conducted multicenter clinical trials evaluating anticoagulation therapy, device therapy, and risk stratification.
